General overview (nice):

Two presentations of the Calabi-Yau universe (part of String Theory with manifolded dimensions). The theory says that such shapes are essentially "affixed" to every point in our normal world of three extended spatial dimensions.

Certain eligible Calabi-Yau's models have holes which require that strings - which are wrapped around them - can disentangle themselves only by unwrapping a certain number of times.

This is a presentation of the Ekpyrotic universe (part of extended String Theory called the Branes Theory).

Can you see that the two sparate membranes are in fact two small pieces of the same tube. ;-)

I refer here also directly to Buckminster Fuller who states in Synergetics - Chapter: Radiation-Gravitation: Electromagnetic Membrane

1052.86: Please now think of all the tensional forces of Universe as
one single membrane containing all the radiational, explosive forces we have enumerated. Now think of the original compression sphere exploding into many ... individual, exploded-apart, spherical mass components, each of which is tightly embraced by the membrane__leaving only intervening perpendicular linear tubes.

440.09  Zerophase: Being the zerophase of energy the vector equilibrium is inherently invisible and non-empirically-discoverable, which accounts for its having been for so long unrecognized as the spontaneous equilibrious model. As specialists, scientists seek only the somethings. The
vector equilibrium is the only model of nonbeing zero- inflection at the nonmoment of omniintertransformabilities, where anything can happen and must happen single-atomically within and multiatomically without. Specializing science, seeking only somethings, inherently overlooked the nonthing vector equilibrium. Vector equilibria in isotropic vector matrixes produce the discontinuity of particles, while the vector-weaving around the VE nuclei produce the continuity of wave phenomena.
440.10 The vector equilibrium is the most abstract of all the always-andonly abstract scientific generalizations, for it is the heart of all interrelationships existing between__ and not in or of__ any of all the empirically apprehended intertransforms of the ever-and- everywhere intertransforming Scenario Universe.
The vector equilibrium is the zerophase__ ergo, inexpressible __ interrelationship of all Universe events.

Timothy Wilken promotes a real synergic world, while using Time-Binding analysis, to realize a synergic future. That is a future beyond crime, violence, and war. A future in harmony with Nature. The focus is on solutions.

Rolf Sattler's website includes his free online book "Wilber's AQAL Map and Beyond", in which he examines some fundamental limitations of the AQAL map and proposes a dynamic mandala that overcomes them. The AQAL map turns out to be one special case of the dynamic mandala that has practically endless transformations.

Professor Emeritus Sattler wrote in May 2009 on the scimednet blog (Scientific and Medical Network) an article, titled Perspectivism and Complementarity: AQAL, the Big Tube, and the Dynamic Mandala: (quote) ... These other views complement the holarchical view. In as much as they present additional perspectives on reality, they enrich our understanding of reality. For example, the Yin-Yang view allows us to see also the higher in the lower level, if only as a germ or potentiality, whereas the holarchical view excludes this possibility. Holism in terms of undivided wholeness offers a unified, unbroken view of reality, whereas according to the holarchical view, reality has to be fragmented into separate holons, which are then arranged in a holarchy.

Since we strive to integrate different views into one more comprehensive view, the question is whether it is possible to integrate all of the above views. Yes, indeed, Dirk Laureyssens (2002-2009) has achieved such an integration and synthesis: his Big Tube theory (also called the Theory of the Pelastrating Universe) integrates holarchy, holism in terms of undivided wholeness, dialectics, Yin-Yang, continuum and network views. According to this theory, the cosmological singularity is a spherical, unbreakable, dynamic membrane of neutral, unmanifested energy, nondual non-being (Wu Chi). This membrane has the potential to form oscillations that interpenetrate in a Yin-Yang fashion, thus giving rise to holons that form a network and holarchy, which may exhibit dialectical movement. Although holons may appear to be separate entities, they are continuous with the membrane (of which they are extensions), and therefore, everything being interconnected, undivided wholeness is retained, which is evident in Laureyssens’ pictorial representations of his theory.

Laureyssens’ pictorial representations of his Big Tube theory overcome limitations of language and semantics. They show that reality is not as discrete and fragmented as words and concepts portray it: holons do not have an existence of their own; the source (the membrane) and its manifestation (holons) are one, not two.

Like Ken Wilber’s AQAL map, Dirk Laureyssens’ Big Tube theory can be seen as a mandala. Whereas AQAL is a conceptual mandala, the Big Tube is a topological mandala with conceptual and organic/artistic aspects. I see AQAL and the Big Tube as complementary models, each one presenting unique views of reality. However, with regard to structure stages, the Big Tube is more comprehensive than AQAL since it integrates holarchy, holism in terms of undivided wholeness, dialectics, Yin-Yang, continuum and network views. Ken Wilber’s integral vision also integrates these views, but not with regard to the most basic structure of his AQAL map, that is, the levels (structure stages) of this map." (end of quote)
